OUR APPROACH

Editorial standards

Useful gardening guidance comes before commercial opportunity. These standards explain how we try to earn readers' trust.

Our purpose

Our purpose is practical gardening guidance: helping people grow healthier plants, make garden projects work and choose equipment more intelligently when it is genuinely relevant.

How topics are selected

We select topics based on reader usefulness, common gardening questions, seasonality and the way one garden decision affects another. A guide should add real context, not simply target a product or search phrase.

Research

Depending on the subject, our research may draw on reliable horticultural resources, extension guidance, manufacturer documentation and primary information. We state limitations rather than implying certainty that the evidence does not support.

Product content

Editorial guides explain a gardening subject. Buying guides explain how to evaluate a type of product. Comparisons examine meaningful trade-offs. Reviews explain intended use, published specifications and considerations. Sponsored content, if published, will be clearly identified.

Corrections

We welcome factual corrections and reasonable update requests at editorial@theprogarden.com. We review the information and revise material errors where appropriate.

Commercial independence

Affiliate revenue may support the publication. It does not guarantee coverage, rankings or conclusions. We do not publish fabricated testing, rating scores or claims of professional certification.
