My identify is Andy Schenck, I backyard in Malvern, Pennsylvania ( a suburb of Philadelphia) in Zone 6B/7 (relying on the winter). Thujopsis dolobrata ‘Variegata’ (Zone 5 – 9) is a good variegated conifer for gentle shade, and, even higher, is reveals good resistance to deer looking.
Pinus palustris (longleaf pine, Zone 7 – 9) is a species native to southeastern North America, however appears to thrive in Pennsylvania. It is a younger plant, about 4 years previous.
