I found Castello di Vicarello in a current hunt for a citadel to share right this moment and realized Jo featured it again in 2012 however this restored relic is so dreamy I needed to share it once more. Carlo and Aurora Baccheschi Berti restored this twelfth century citadel in Maremma, a area of Tuscany, over a few years (the citadel’s most important wings took 12 years alone to revive) and now their 3 sons run it as a visitor home consisting of 9 suites. It’s gorgeous inside and outside and I really like that the decor is informal and welcoming. What a rare trip spot this could be.
