The challenge concerned architects AB Design Studio collaborating with Tamara Honey, founding father of Home of Honey, to rework a modest Nineteen Fifties wooden cabin nestled in a rock quarry between the Santa Barbara foothills and the Santa Ynez mountains. Surrounded by large boulders, the single-story residence now options an expanded wrap-around wooden deck. A central hallway connects the up to date kitchen and residing areas to a spacious new master bedroom. Named Honey Home, the design captures the realm’s creative and Zen heritage—as soon as residence to bohemian poets, writers, and artists—by preserving authentic options and incorporating reclaimed stone discovered on the property.
